Tamper-Evident Labelling

Tamper-evident applications, typically on food products, whereby opening the screw top breaks a perforation or tears the label, indicating to the consumer that the product has been opened and may have been tampered with. The label is often referred to as a lollipop because of its shape (if the tail only goes down one side) or watch-strap if the label tails go down both sides of the jar or container.

Usually the separate main body label must be placed over the “tails” and often aligned to give a uniform, symmetrical appearance to all of the products when on the retailer’s shelves.
